Disney Parks Blog has shared some new images that show us the installation of Beast’s Castle in the Fantasyland expansion happening at Walt Disney World.

Beast’s Castle continues Walt Disney’s use of “forced perspective” used in buildings at the theme parks.  If you’ve ever taken a walk down Main Street USA at the parks, then you’ve experienced it.  You may not have realized it, but those buildings are a lot shorter (and narrower) at the top than they are at the base.  This gives the illusion of height.

This next photo has to be my favorite from the set.  From it, we can see the WDI is taller than the main castle wall!
