Finding Nemo 3 Disc Bluray Combo ArtDisney/Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” is finally available to own on Blu-ray.

I have to admit, I was surprised when I found out that Finding Nemo had not yet been released on Blu-ray until now.  However, given the recent theatrical re-release of a 3D version of the film, it kind of makes sense that it hadn’t happened before now.  So, those of you that are lucky enough to have a 3D TV can pick up a version that includes the 3D Blu-ray copy of the film, everyone else can still pick up a 2D Blu-ray copy and admit that Pixar films are as much about eye candy as they are good stories.

I’m not really going to go into any kind of story detail here, it’s Nemo, it came out almost 10 years ago and if you haven’t seen it at least once by now, then you must live under a rock.

There’s no lack of bonus features on this release, in fact, there’s bonus features on the movie disc and then there’s an additional disc dedicated solely to more bonus material.  I have to say my two favorite bonus features were the fimmaker’s roundtable (they had one of these for “The Incredibles” too) and the “Reinventing the Submarine Voyage” feature.  The latter not only gives you a look at the current Nemo-themed subs, but it also gives a look at the development of the original Submarine Voyage attraction that was at Disneyland for almost 30 years before closing in 1988.

With good family fun for everyone, this is one that should be in everyone’s video collection.

Film Synopsis:

In this stunning underwater adventure teeming with memorable comedic characters and heartfelt emotion, ?Finding Nemo? follows the momentous journey of an overprotective clownfish named Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks) and his young son Nemo (voiced by Alexander Gould). When the two are unexpectedly separated in the Great Barrier Reef, Nemo is carried far from his ocean home and deposited in a fish tank in a dentist’s office. Buoyed by the companionship of Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres), a friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish, Marlin embarks on a dangerous trek and finds himself the unlikely hero of an epic effort to rescue his son––who hatches a few daring plans of his own to return safely home.
