For a very limited engagement (Oct. 21-31) Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas will be returning to Disney’s El Capitan Theater with a new twist…4D
What’s 4D? I thought the same thing when I heard, but when you think about it, it makes sense.
For this special presentation, the 3D conversion of the film will be shown and there will be added effects in the theater. The effects will include wind, fog and snow as well as some as-yet unannounced effects. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were smells added into the theater as well. There’s also a “Pumpkin King Dinner” package that you can book before the show.
I’ve also heard that Danny Elfman (composer and Jack’s singing voice) will be at the 7pm showing on the 21st to promote some bonus NMBC material that will be in an upcoming CD box set.
