Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will reunite in the next Star Wars movie.

USA Today has confirmed that not only will Luke, Han and Leia be back for the next Star Wars, but both he AND the actors knew before the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm!  Hamill (61), Fisher (56) and Ford (70) will reprise their roles (respectively) as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo in the continuing story of Star Wars.

I guess that just goes to show that some people in Hollywood today are still capable of keeping a secret after all.

It looks like the main reason nobody was saying anything about it before now is that the deals were still being finalized with the actors.  Add that to the fact that nobody wanted to jeopardize the Disney deal by letting the cat out of the bag too early.

Given that the actors are now old enough to be grandparents now, it’ll be interesting to see where their characters have progressed to in the next installment.

Star Wars: Episode VII will release in 2015 and current Star Trek director JJ Abrams has already signed on to direct the film.
