Disney Parks Chairman, Tom Staggs, made the announcement earlier this week that Hong Kong Disneyland will play host to Disney’s first Marvel-based attraction, Iron Man Experience in 2016.
While I’m sad to see that a U.S. based Disney Park wasn’t the first to get a Marvel attraction, I’m still thrilled at the prospect of this finally becoming a reality.
While still a few years off, Staggs reveals that guests will get to see a progression of Tony Stark’s Iron Man armors, as well as other Stark innovations. I would imagine this would be something you would see while waiting in the queue for the actual ride itself. As for the ride, guests will get to go on a one of a kind experience taking flight alongside Iron Man as he battles on of his enemies in the skies above Hong Kong. After the ride ends, guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Iron Man. That’s one lucky Disneyland Cast Member who gets to wear that as their “uniform” for work!
We’ll be sure to bring you more details on the attraction and its construction as they are revealed.
